Installation Steps

Next Hour features a streamlined GUI auto-installer that guides you through the entire setup process in minutes. Follow these simple steps to go live.

1

EULA (License & Terms)

The first step requires you to read and accept the **End User License Agreement (EULA)**. You will also need to enter your Envato Purchase Code to verify your license.

One purchase code is valid for a single domain installation only.

2

Database Connection

Connect your database by providing the following credentials:

  • Database Host: Usually localhost or 127.0.0.1
  • Database Port: Default is 3306
  • Database Name: The name of the MySQL database you created
  • Username & Password: Your MySQL user credentials

Security: Avoid using special characters like # in your database password to prevent connection drops.

3

Server & Mail Settings

Set up your core website information and mail configuration:

  • Site URL: Your full domain (e.g., https://yourdomain.com)
  • Mail Driver: SMTP, Mailgun, or Postmark
  • SMTP Settings: Host, Port, Encryption, User, and Password
4

Admin Account

Create your primary Administrator account. This user will have full access to the Admin Dashboard.

  • Admin Name
  • Admin Email (Used for login)
  • Secure Password
5

Install & Go Live

The system will now verify your server requirements. Once everything is checked, click on "Install" to migrate the database and finalize your setup.

🎉 Success: Upon completion, you will be automatically redirected to your site's landing page.

Troubleshooting

500 Server Error

If you encounter a 500 error after installation, check your server's PHP version (must be 8.2+) and ensure the storage and bootstrap/cache directories have **775** write permissions.

.env Write Permission

The installer needs to write to the .env file. If it fails, ensure the root directory is writable or manually create the .env file from .env.example.
